Instructions for Irish Poker cards drinking game

Looking for an easy card game for St. Patrick’s Day? This game is perfect for you. It is easy to play, only one player needs to know the rules, all you need is a deck of cards and you can be sure of one thing – This party game will get you drunk for sure.

Rules of Irish Poker

• Every player gets 4 cards face down
• Then, clockwise, it’s each player’s turn
• For the first card, players have to guess if the card is red or black
• For the second card, players have to guess if the number is higher, lower or the same as the first one
• For the third card, players have to guess if the card is numerically in between the first two (e.g. card one: 3 & card two: 8 – then 4, 5, 6 & 7 are in between) or outside
• For the last card, players have to guess the suit of the card

If correct in round one, players can give out 2 sips, otherwise, they’ll have to take them themselves.
In round two, 4sips are the stake
In round three, it is 6 sips – give or take
In the final round, 8 sips are up to be distributed or have to be taken

Irish Poker is an easy-to-play party game that can be played everywhere. Another cool thing about it is that the number of players might vary substantially, without changing the feel of the game. While we enjoyed playing the game, we would definitely suggest expanding the game and including the bus ride rules. That way it is even more fun and one of our absolute favorites.
