The Wimbledon Drinking Game is simple to play and requires just a few things: a device to watch the matches, your preferred beverages, and some fellow tennis fans to participate in the fun.

Rules for the Wimbledon Tennis Drinking Game

Let’s start with standard rules that apply to everyone participating in this game.

General rules for the game

Take one sip when

  • the commentator mentions a player’s previous Grand Slam wins.
  • a player argues with the umpire.
  • the camera shows a close-up of a player’s racket or tennis shoes.

Take a shot when

  • a player challenges a call and is proven right.
  • a player breaks their opponent’s serve.
  • it starts to rain, and the match is delayed.
  • a player commits a double fault.
  • a match goes into a tiebreak.
  • a player wins the match with an ace.

Start a waterfall when a player requests a medical timeout. The youngest player starts.

Additional Drinking Game Rules Wimbledon

Every player picks a player

Give out two sips when

  • your player wins a game.
  • your player makes a successful challenge.
  • your player serves an ace.

Take a shot when

  • your player displays a visible display of frustration (e.g., racket smash, shouting).
  • your player gets a code violation.
  • your player loses a set.

Wimbledon Extreme Rules:

Deuce Drink-Down:

Any time a game goes to deuce, you can call out “Deuce Drink-Down”. You then have to finish your whole drink. If you manage to finish your drink before the game is won, all other players have to finish their drinks and a shot.

Ace Race:

Any time a player serves an ace, you can bet to finish your drink before the next point starts. If you manage to do so, every other player has to take a sip. If you fail, you take a shot.

Tequila Tiebreak:

Every player has to bet who wins the Tiebreak. The losers take a shot (of Tequila)
